CanCare
Founded by Anne Shaw Turnage, a survivor of colon cancer, CanCare has grown…
into a network of trained volunteers including survivors, family members of survivors and medical professionals who provide emotional support, information and cancer related resources. Survivors of more than 75 different types of cancer are the heartbeat of the organization, providing hope, friendship and even hospital visitations for those battling cancer. CanCare volunteers additionally make more than 10,000 visits each year to patients and their families at hospitals and treatment centers to offer support.

Westside Homeless Prevention (WHP) program was specifically designed to address the interrelated causes of homelessness that families living in SBISD were facing and that no other non-profit organization in Spring Branch was addressing. Since our incorporation in 1994, WHP has been faithful to its mission to help homeless children and their families break the cycle of homelessness in Spring Branch. And beginning in March 2016 WHP has expanded to Katy ISD!
